South of The Borders!

CANEXICO!!!

"The Other North America"

I saw some painted carvings in Montreal which had apparently been made by an artist in a Mexican village (I couldn't tell you where). They inspired me to make these papier-macke pieces depicting classic Canadian animals in a "Mexican" style. More to come!

Wow!! Your sculptures are so beautiful and joyful. I have nostalgic recollections of sculptures of lifesize people that were on a roof-top at Ontario Place in the 1970's that have a similar spirit, and others I have seen in France outisde at the centre Georges Pompidou - only yours are nicer.
I really love your artwork! It makes me feel like painting.
I hope to see you guys out in Pakenham soon!
